Does anyone use cordless/wireless mice at LAN parties? Which brand/model are you using, and have you experienced any mouse lag or interference?
I've been using my Logitech MX700 Mouse (and keyboard combo) for my home gaming and I love them dearly. I'm just not sure if I should bring them to a LAN with 2000+ people. I don't want my peripherals acting like they've been possessed.

Do I need to consider buying something with wires?

I don't know about mice but keyboards and headphones are known to cause interference at lan parties. But it denpends on how close you are to other wireless users. So just be sure to bring a good wired one just in case you are near other wireless users. And don't forget extra batteries I made that mistake with my wireless keyboard one time :)

Most of the wireless equipment only has a small range where the emission can be read by the reciever. And most of the gamers use wired stuff, so the chance that there can be interference is only small.
And normal wireless stuff is able to operate on more than one frequency

Wired mouse and keyboard forever. I once made the mistake of bringing a cordless headphone to a LAN. Never heard anything more than static

DiNovo rox, but it's way to expensive. But I love my Logitech Wireless Desktop too. To answer your question ServerBot: I had no problem with it last year (I have the same equipment as you do i guess). One way to be sure you won't have keyboard interference is to put it in secure mode.
About the Cordless Desktop for Bluetooth and the DiNovo: bluetooth shouldn't have any problems at all, the protocols has some countermeasures to deal with problems like this.

Maybe on crapy cheepo cordless stuff. But Logitech wireless setups have the same reaction time as wired keyboards and mice. The use the same physical speedlimit, namely lightspeed.

I still have a wired mouse (mx500) but I have a cordless keyboard (dinovo).
The range of frequencies the keyboard operates on is rather large I think cuz the marketing is aimed at bussines people (for the logitech dinovo notebook).

DiNovo is bluetooth, so it operates on the bleutooth band. That one's pretty broad indeed, don't know the exact specs though.

I've been taking a wireless mouse to drome since drome10.
Then it was a cheapass Medion, and I had no problems, well wireless related
Last year I took my MX700 and again I did not witness any problems.
Alsp been to some other lans where my neighbour had the same mouse, then you just put your receiver left, and make sure he puts his right or something like that, in any case again no problems. Not even the need to switch ports and stuff.
